About the event
DEI COMMITTEES: A guide to starting, strengthening, and maintaining your organizational asset. The facilitator has had the opportunity to be a part of about 5 Diversity Committees and learned a lot about what works and what doesn't. DEI Committees can be a guiding body, resource, and inspiration for implementing your strategy. However, all too often, not enough thought goes into establishing one. Additionally, many members will find themselves ill-equipped to deal with the diversity of thought and opinions --- an essential skill for a well-rounded committee. This webinar is also available to organizations for $750.00 plus HST for up to 10 employees.
A must-attend webinar workshop for anyone currently thinking of starting a DEI Committee or those searching for new ideas or needing to troubleshoot. Be prepared to have your assumptions challenged! In this webinar, you will learn the following:
- How DEI committees can benefit your organization.
- How to decide on a name.
- The essential components of a successful committee.
- How to recruit the best people.
- Ways to prepare a detailed Terms of Reference.
- To troubleshoot common problems.
- About tools to analyze your committee.
- Ways to keep the momentum going.
Past Participant:
We really enjoyed Evelina Silveira’s “Everything You Wanted To Know About Diversity Committees” webinar! Through her well-prepared content, Evelina presented comprehensive information and thoughtful commentary for the group. I think we all came away with new learning that will promote a positive experience working with our committees. Evelina has a warm and approachable style, encourages meaningful participation and dialogue, and makes for an enjoyable learning experience. I recommend this webinar to anyone thinking of putting together such a committee in their workplace.
