Amplify Voices: Active Listening for Equity

Misunderstandings are often the basis of workplace conflicts, resulting in defensiveness, errors and misjudgements.  Active listening is rooted in empathy with the goal of understanding.  Leaders, staff and co-workers alike can benefit from acquiring this essential communication skill resulting in a more equitable and inclusive environment.  Furthermore, active listening can help us to reduce biases and appreciate differences.

In this webinar, participants will receive an overview of the components of active listening. Participants will also gain ideas for encouraging feedback from quieter employees to reduce inequities and promote engagement.
