About the event
Complement your anti-bias and harassment training with our signature webinar.
Are you concerned that communication is breaking down in your workplace? Are you facing increasing complaints of workplace bias, harassment and different types of discrimination?
The only resort many workplaces have is to respond with a harassment investigation. Typically, this ends in an employee being reprimanded and resentment usually follows. It doesn't always have to be that way nor does it have to go that far.
What if there was a better way?
Empowering and equipping yourself and employees with essential communication skills if you are rightly or wrongly accused of bias is more proactive. Furthermore, it opens the doors to dialogue by clarifying positions, thus alleviating stereotypes and misunderstanding with the potential to learn from one another.
Sometimes innocent and well-meaning people get wrongly labelled and their careers and lives can be ruined because they did not know how to respond. Conversely, victims of perceived bias can receive the tools of how to address bias when it happens in the workplace.
In this webinar, you will learn:
- What is bias?
- The consequences of labelling others.
- A brief overview of different kinds of bias?
- What is "honest diversity"?
- How to respond to wrongful accusations of bias and discrimination.
- How to respond when you have been rightfully accused of bias and discrimination
- The role of active listening when it comes to stimulating diversity dialogues and mitigating conflicts.
